Vakhtang Tsintsadze is an Academic Doctor of History (PhD) and an expert in museum studies. He is an experienced specialist in museum collection management, registration, and digitalization, with 23 years of professional experience in the museum field.
From 2003 to 2014, he held various positions at the History Department of the Simon Janashia Georgian State Museum. Between 2014 and 2017, he served as the Head of the Collections Preservation and Registration Group at the Simon Janashia Georgian State Museum within the Georgian National Museum system. From 2017 to 2022, he was the Head of the Collections Management Department of the Georgian National Museum, and until June 1, 2022, he served as the Head of the Collections Sector of the same institution.
He has successfully led processes involving the description, systematization, and management of various types of collections. He has practical experience in the collection research, management, and data standardization.
Currently, Vakhtang Tsintsadze is a Senior Researcher at the Georgian National Museum and also works at the Academia Europaea Tbilisi Regional Center at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
For more than nine years, within the Georgian National Museum network, he has overseen the management, preservation, registration, digital transformation, and promotion of collections in both the Tbilisi and regional museums.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, he has been actively involved in the development of museum-related legal frameworks. Vakhtang Tsintsadze has played a key role in various scientific and educational projects and has served as a trainer in training programs organized by the Ministry of Culture, aimed at enhancing the qualifications of museum staff.
He is the author of 18 scientific publications and one monograph, and regularly participates in local and international scientific conferences and connected with professional thematic discussions.
