Organized by AE Tbilisi Hub and Ilia State University, on March 28 of this year a public lecture was held by Professor Paul Salkovskis, Director of the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health, on the topic “Current Issues in Modern Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.”
Professor Paul Salkovskis is a recognized leading figure in cognitive-behavioral therapy. In addition to leading the Centre for Psychological Health, he leads the Clinical Psychology course at the University of Oxford and serves as Editor of the BABCP journal “Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy”.
Professor Salkovskis’s visit to Georgia was made possible through the initiative and direct involvement of Professor Kate Tchanturia, a member of the Scientific Board of AE Tbilisi Hub and Proffesor of King’s College London.
The lecture, during which Professor Salkovskis discussed recent developments and challenges in the field, was moderated by Prof. Kate Tchanturia. It was followed by an active discussion involving members of the academic community, students, and representatives of the wider public.
