From 26–29 November 2025, AE Tbilisi Hub, in cooperation with the Georgian National Museum, organized a scientific conference at the Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography, dedicated to the memory of Rusudan Kochkiani, former Director of the Museum and a distinguished scholar of medieval art.
The conference addressed the history and future perspectives of the Svaneti Museum, as well as recent research on Svaneti’s cultural heritage. It also included presentations of the publications “Warrior Saints in Medieval Georgian Art” and “Heritage of Georgian Manuscripts,” which were donated to the Svaneti Museum.
The event was attended by members of Rusudan Kochkiani’s family, representatives of the local professional community, and senior school students, whose engagement reflected the Centre’s commitment to fostering youth interest in science and heritage. Students of the Svaneti Chanting School also performed traditional Svan songs and hymns.
