Panel Session: May 26 in the context of the Politics of Memory

On the initiative of AE Tbilisi Knowledge Hub, within the framework of the series of panel sessions “The First Democratic Republic of Georgia – The Path to Europe” another panel was held at Tbilisi State University entitled “May 26 in the context of the politics of memory”, dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia🇬🇪

The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. “We are all proud of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia. The independence of Georgia proclaimed in 1918 was not only the fact that our country gained independence, but also meant that European values were important for the people who came at the head of the government,” said Jaba Samushia.


The event was attended by professors, teachers, students and invited guests.
