On June 12-14, 2025, within the framework of the Week of Scientists, the International scientific conference “Multifaceted Neuroscience – 140 Years of Ivane Beritashvili”, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of one of the founders of neuroscience, Academician Ivane Beritashvili was held at Ivane Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine.
The conference was supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the Academia Europaea Tbilisi Hub was a partner of the occasion.
The goals of the conference were: Integration and popularization of various directions of neuroscience, deepening interdisciplinary dialogue and cooperation as well as development of scientific networks at the local and international levels.
The event brought together leading Georgian and foreign scientists, young researchers, students and practitioners from the fields of biomedicine and neuroscience. The conference program offered plenary sessions, thematic sessions on modern directions in neuroscience and biomedicine and the poster presentations.
